Building a Weissenborn guitar Tool List

While building my guitar does not have access to many advanced tools, we might find in a machine shop or den professional carpenter. I really had to sit and take serious decisions and what I used to nothing during construction. I felt that far into the mists of time, the builders of the guitar would be nice to do everything by hand, but the real horror I was surprised. I quickly realized that the secret was, if I could not do it on my boat, I would like others to do I had the tools and gear! Logical really! It was really the last line of how I would do things with my space and resources. Get the wood cut in damn near the size before starting. I understand this simple thing would probably began to build a guitar for long!

I built my life like a guitar in my boat "The Nicky J Miller" in north Queensland. Naturally, I had some simple tools of power but nothing more. I had access to an old rusty saw and Triton Bank could use to cut the keys, but could easily be done with a handsaw!

Optional tools desirable! Some, because they do not like!

Bandsaw, a brush, a router (I hate them, not yours!)

The tools used to create my GUITAR
(Interestingly, I not even use all these tools, either!)

· A rusty bench Triton (keys only)
• A small block plane
• A stone to sharpen and oil
• A collection chisel 6 mm to 25 mm
• A flat chisel and a guide to finishing (a must)
• A set of cheap saws is to attract a hand saw, a small keyhole Sierra, a retractable knife exact type.
• A scraper stainless steel.
· Ten straps or 1206 inches.
· Several small clips G
• Three lever clamps
• A set of needle files
• An tenon saw
• A type of leisure hacksaw
· A queue seen milano
• An adaptation seen
· Tang A jeweler saw a package of 000 sheets
· A good carpenters, flat file.
Jewelers œ the tweezers
• A small hammer
• A Vice-small jewelers
• A red small vice.
No engineer on a master meter straight edge (Priceless)
• A rule steel a foot (in inches)
Manufacturers · A folding steel tape (in inches and millimeters)
Several blocks · sanding (rubber and foam)
• A plumber Bernz-o-matic gas torch with a regular nozzle
(I recommend a larger nozzle)
· Various small ensembles fine-toothed saw
· Packages Several of sandpaper ranging from a few cheapo dealers in all classes of things really good, which are costly not hindered from 80 grains 800grit around …. some dry and humid about 400 grains
· A total of 000 wool for son
• Bottle orange shellac (scales) and a liter of methylated spirits
· Miscellaneous necklaces bit strange that extends around the boat
• A large bundle of super-wide rubber bands
· About twenty very wide tires old car tire
· A twenty-fold cheap dollar and gay (kit Supercheaps!)
• A tapered reamer Supercheaps
• A few half decent brushes and cans.

Power Tools
I had the usual tools of power that are usually around a house or a boat. They are:

• Drill electric
• A puzzle
• A variable speed grinder .. It is a wonderful tool and I used it for almost all the work sanding .. the beauty of this machine is variable speed, can take up to 75 rpm and is very good to use .. Normal Sanders are really stupid and murderers and should be banned! What the hell is the good of a machine that comes in from zero to twenty thousand times in a second or two … I hate them, they are good for cutting tiles or steel but still deadly!
· A bench six-inch rotary saw (never used!)
• A speed Electric variable Bosch orbital sander and a bunch of files from 120grit to 400grit …. (This tool is ideal for sanding keys, the back and sounding)
• A mini Colt or variable-speed Dremel rotary drilling and the team … I purchased an accessory kit for this machine a few most of whom have not even used, except drums rotating sandpaper to sand the key point! and honestly I could not build this guitar without this marvel of a machine! … unfortunately burned in the final phase of construction, but I'll buy the next time or even a Dremel Ryobi!

These machines are the last word if you need to make every accused, but if you do, you can buy this book

One thing is obvious, of course, scissors and brushes sharp! I published another article I wrote for a nautical magazine called "How to keep your tools sharp paper wet'n'dry car. You will find it very useful, I'm sure!
I also bought a guide and a small milling machine large, and But can also be used to refine wet'n'dry car too!

The humidity, the hardened QUESTION!
Am going to say a few words about the humidity. The first time I said I would do my guitar on a boat, the immediate response was
"What about humidity? Well, first to Australia, where the guitar I built in the summer is wet and horrible no way I then tried during the summer or "wet" as they call it .. However, I lived on my boat for about seven years and eight are guitars. My boat is very hot and dry and I have never had a problem with one of them at all. I, However, keep them in their case most of the time. However, in winter, is another story, there are several days when the humidity is much lower sixty per cent and is good for the bonding of the guitar. It is the same as living in a house or a flat edge … .. What to do? I just listen to the forecast sea or watch the time on the computer and I can say everything that is moisture than ten minutes! So really, I have a problem with people from the terrible humidity!

Perhaps one would be very good and shows that are only sexy cologne for him, like polar bears or something.
