Boating – Few Safety Tips To Be Followed By All Boaters
Boating is undoubtedly is a pleasurable job. But like every other luxury, this also brings some hazards with it. There are more than 5000 boat accidents happen every year across the year. It is important for everyone who is associated with boating to pay attention and to follow basic boat safety rules. The following basic safety tips should be taught and followed by all who are in to boating.
- Always wear your lifejacket or personal flotation device. The device or jacket should be of appropriate size for your weight and it should be approved by the Department of Transportation. As you all know, always having your lifejacket on is one of the key survival techniques.
- It is advisable to take a boating course from an experienced teacher or from a registered institution before going out for sailing.
- Obey all of the local, state and national boating laws and regulations.
- A smart boater always gets his or her boat checked by the Coast Guard Auxiliary or by a certified boat technician. This minimizes the risks and also makes sure that you boat does not carry any major flaws.
- Keeping a watchful eye can help you to avoid collisions with other skiers, swimmers, boats, watercrafts and with foreign objects.
- If your craft is of 5.5 meters long or shorter, then you should carry personal floatation devices (for everyone who is sailing with you), oars, a sounding device, a bailer and a fire extinguisher on it. Flares and visual distress signals are also important items to include as appropriate boating gear.
- If you are sailing along with children, then you should remember that children under 12 years must be supervised by an adult in whatever he/she is doing on the board. If you are willing to let your child operate the jet skies, then he/she must be of at least 16 years.
- One should never stand up while travelling on a canoe, small powerboat such as a ski boat, fishing boat, racing boat, wakeboard boat or any other small watercraft.
- There are load restrictions or capacity guidelines of every boat. Don’t overload the boat beyond its capacity as it may cause hazards while you are in water. These guidelines have clearly mentioned not only the number and weight of the passengers onboard, but also the weight of the gear.
- You should look at all of the electrical components and should assure that there is no faulty connection or corrosion in them. Physically inspect all of the belts and lines for excessive wear or for leaks. After refueling, one should always let the fuel system ventilate before starting the engine.
- Check the water conditions of your destination before disembarking. You should be acquainted with all distress signals associated with boating and their usage as well.

To produce cheap meat, animals must be grown efficitnetly. When pigs are reared intensively they are kept indoors. Their surroundings are closely monitoured to make sure they have even ventilation and the correct temperature. The risk of infection is high bus it reduced by feeding them antibotics anfd removing their faces. The pigs live in cages and cannot move around much.
a) explain why farmers control the temperature.
b) explain why farmers want to stop the pigs moving about
c) give 2 arguments against rearing pigs indoors instead of rearing them outdoors.
d) Boats from many contries fish the antartic ocean. The cod are being overfished. If the numbers of cod are to increase, the population must be carefully managed.
i) suggest two control measures which would prevent a furtherr drop in numbers
ii) suggest why one of your control measures would be difficult to put into practice.
Thanks
Farmers control the temp so that microorganisms do not

Promised Land [CD-ROM] Queensryche’s follow-up to the double-platinum Empire is something of an acquired taste, but it’s well worth the effort. There’s considerable variety here; the heavy progressive-rock of “I Am I” and the ballad “Bridge” were hit singles, but there’s also the funk-inflected “Disconnected”, the edgy, spooky “Lady Jane”, and the piano-and-vocals “Someone Else?”. The title track is probably the stronge… |
