I’ve pulled out boats with 2 and 4 wheel drive. There really isnt much difference. It all depends on the size of the boat, the size of the truck, and the ramp. Yeah, I actually seen a fool trying to pull out a 32′ boat with a 2wd Ranger. Didnt work out so well. If the problem is wheelspin, add some weight to the truck. I think you nailed it just right with what you said, nice and steady, and you’ll be fine.
